Thanks to Linda G. Hill for the inspiration to write every day and to Ruth for the prompt.
Indelible
I am a sloppy writer. It is why I hate writing letters by pen and ink. My cursive isn’t too bad but I often make mistakes and end up scratching out misspells or words that are ahead of where I’m at in writing. I like pencils with erasers because I can fix said mistakes. No indelible marks there.
I remember when I discovered the typewriter. I had an old Underwood as a kid. I loved it. I learned quickly how to cross things out with the forward slash or X. I was so happy when I learned about the pen and typewriter erasers. But those made holes in the paper. Later we had Whiteout. But it still left a nasty look to the paper.
Then I discovered these:

I don’t know how to make the picture happen or if it does show up just with the link but these pens are so nice! My only excuse for not writing is sitting still and doing it! No more indelible mistakes! Need to order more soon!
Those erasable pens look great! I must find some. … Oh, wow, I learned to type on a big clunky Underwood typewriter, too. You sure had to press those keys down hard. I loved when I could finally use an electric one. 🙂
Me, too with the electric! Did you learn to do real carbon copies? When the ribbon ran out on the clunker I would use carbon paper to type on. There was no help for error-prone people with that stuff! But it was fun. Hope you have fun with those pens!
Yep, used lots of carbon paper back in the day. We’d sometimes layer paper & carbon paper to make more than one copy at a time. It was so messy changing those inky ribbons! 🙂
Oh, fun times! That was in the day that I tried to make a family newspaper. Mom actually ended up getting a toy printing press. That was messy! And with dyslexia I could never get the backwards letters set up right. LOL!
A toy printing press! Wow! That would have been fun to have. I think my nieces did a family newspaper a few times, just on notebook paper and handwritten, though. 🙂
It was fun but I never knew what was news in a jfamily attached by phone. Messy, ink j. I would have been better with handwritten.
Yes, I can see how it would be messy. I like seeing people’s handwriting, too, because everyone’s is so different. 🙂
I miss handwritten letters. I’m going to have to do something about that!
Yes, I used to write lots of letters, and had actual pen pals from all over. Not many do this any more, but I think it’s nice. 🙂
