Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either.

Absolutely true. I used to love knitting.
I mostly loom knit but I’m learning to needle knit sock. I’m loving the processes!
I learned to knit in school. The nuns were good teachers. And knitted a lot through the years. Now I just lack motivation. Also my hand joints are not happy.
My aunts were my teachers. I do understand the hands thing. My hands can’t do crochet for a couple years now, but I find that needles or loom don’t hurt as much. My eyes don’t let me play the piano or write much so it’s a trade off, I suppose. Remember doing anything we wanted and things didn’t hurt and worked?😏
Yes, those were the days. But then we had other issues. Like lack of time or family responsibilities!
So true! 🤨😏🙄
