Ok I’m sold. Even if I find out that I don’t yet qualify for insurance coverage, I’m going to ask my doctor if my cataracts are bad enough for self-pay surgery. I find it incredibly stressful and depressing to be unable to see street signs and birds. My appt. is June 9
We couldn’t even afford the co-pays. Chris just in passing complained to his daughter about how expensive it was. She gave us the money to pay for that.
I’m elated to be able to see the clock numbers today with the eye that NEVER saw beyond the end of my fingers. It used to be my “reading” eye but for the past decade that faded away, too. So I encourage you to get it done. I know what a reader you are. It is helping my mental health in ways I didn’t realize before. Note the word: elated! When you can’t see or hear what is going on around you, you become more and more isolated. This surgery, dental health, and hearing aids should be a given to keep humans active and relavant.
