I saw this on Facebook. It reminded me of a morning recently. It was quiet. It’s that weird sensation when the fridge quits running? Yeah. Quiet like that.
Just like that, I decided we were having a blackout. No prob. I’m flexible. I can read, knit, play piano, diamond painting, write.
I went in the living room and pulled out Morning Pages and started writing.
About an hour into it my husband walked into the room. I said, “I assume the bill got paid and this is just a blackout.”
He sweetly pointed to the kitchen lights glaring at me.
I had tears running down my face from laughing so hard.
I’m more resilient than I need to be!
One-liner Wednesday is a Linda G. Hill prompt.
Isn’t it ironic that procrastination is something you can do immediately?
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “whatever.” Use the word “whatever” any way you’d like. Bonus points if you start your post with it. Have fun!
When my daughter was a teen one of her favorite shows was Sifl and Olly. I probably loved it more than her. ‘Whatever’ was the word of the day. By this point I’d survived four teens! I plead insanity!
One-liner Wednesday is a fun prompt courtesy of Linda G. Hill. As is January’s #Just Jot it January. Click on the link above to learn more.
Jotting in January is a just thing to do. 🖖
From a voice-to-text query for a One-liner:
A perfectionist walked into a bar…apparently, the bar wasn’t set high enough.
#JusJoJan and One-Liner Wednesday prompts brought to us by Linda G. Hill.
Your prompt for JusJoJan January 6th, 2022, is “anticipation.” Use the word “anticipation” any way you’d like. Enjoy!
My first thought (mistakenly) when I heard the prompt was of Carole King on Tapestry.
That album got me through my first year of marriage and in the small town this Southern California big city girl found herself in.
The radio was pitiful, television even worse, three UHF stations. So I had a few favorite albums. Tapestry, 2001 Space Odyssey,
A few John Denver’s
And others. But the woman you’ve been waiting to hear,
who came to mind when you heard the prompt:
Anticipation is making us wait. Hehehe.🤭
What is this Gobbledygook? “Dogs and cats living together” <— A quote as I remember from Ghostbusters. But yet here it is as I documented this morning. Maybe so much rigamarole. I don’t know. See for yourself.
I don’t think there’s a natural hatred between the two species. I do know if either animal appreciates the sudden intrusion of the other. But most nights they share my bed. And do so in such a way to leave an inch or two for the human. How do they, such smallish creatures, manage to take over? Maybe it isn’t Gobbledygook! Maybe they are looking for global domination?
Your prompt for JusJoJan January 2nd, 2020, is “gobbledygook.” Use the word “gobbledygook” any way you’d like. Have fun!
