Occasionally I share projects I’m working on, or have finished. This picture goes with the posts.

Why? Because despite me, ADD, arthritis, and other obstacles, things get done. And I feel glad. Endurance is a similar word. Hands hurting is something to be endured, even if the hobby is enjoyable. So here’s my latest batch of projects in various stages of completeness.

Done! This is a small adult. I love working with the magical Fair
Isle yarn from Willows.
And I love the pattern featured below with ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars size 6 needle.
The dragon is coming along. About 1/3 finished. Lots of eye blurring black.
I’ve been working on these for quite a while. The HiyaHiya Fliers and ChiaoGoos are tiny and hurt if I spend too much time on them but, progress!
These are nearing the cuff stage so may be finished soon.
These are at cuffs now, so finished product may happen before long.
Started another hat. This is the pattern. The Fair Isle yarn from Willow is so soft!

Endurance of lack of Internet or streaming services is the hardest part of all of this. I need the distraction. And the chance to work on the web, especially GoodReads and the reviews I need to write. This is endurance. We may be up and running tomorrow when our local Internet fixer will come by. 🤞

Click on the pic to enlarge that picture in the corner. My new DP.
It came with this sheet of paper. Not only the symbol for the color but quantity. And another pic to show what you’re working on.
As all kits so far, the wax and pen. I love the little white tray. Most have the green ones that don’t line the diamonds up so well.
And rather than a long strip of drills, each color has it’s own baggy. The bags of black. Yikes!
The other side of the drill package.

But that’s not all I’m working on.

I want a collection of the many Fair Isle, self-striping super washed wool cakes from Willows. I just discovered I don’t have a hat of my own. I’m hoping one of these will fit me, if not gifts!
Both these hats are being knitted on ChiaoGoo red-lace circulars 16″ cables, the brown hat has size 6 US, the pink size 7. This wool is so soft!
I’m still working on the HiyaHiya Fliers sock. I only have that Pretty White skein. It is a light green. At first this was only an experiment. I had planned to frog the sock when satisfied, but I’m so happy with how it’s going that I want to make a pair. So I picked up the denim color to help there to be enough yarn for a small sized pair of socks.
I wanted to be finished with these boot-socks today. But I still need to do the Kitchener cast-off on the last toe. Sadly these  turned out slightly too large for the giftee. Maybe they’re okay for slipper socks. They will be warm!!!
These bamboo on the CinDWood sock loom are nearly to the cuff and finish.
These socks on the Flexee fine-gauge loom are nearing the heel part that will be white like the toe.
Two more projects hang out in the bin as there isn’t enough room to have everything out. Cotton slipper socks on Flexee fine-gauge loom. And a plarn water-bottle carrier. That’s a crochet so not as finger friendly for me.

That’s all I can think of. My poor writing project seems stalled again. Maybe after Christmas I’ll have less pressing projects and can get back into it.

Happy

Flexee fine-gauge wool socks were farther along. The one on the bottom was that full ball finished. I didn’t like something so I had to tink back to the white part. I’ll have to do that to the top sock, too.
Ready to learn Turn heel.
This is the pattern I’m following in my knitting class. My next step is ‘Turn heel’ on the first sock.
Sock 2 cuff finished. Now on to the leg.
HiyaHiya Fliers sock cuff finished. Now I need to watch the YouTube for the next part.
One bamboo sock nearly to the heel. Sock number 2 nearly there, too. (CinDWood sock looms)
Almost halfway done with the Sunflowers.

I’m learning so much while having a great time. Oh. And here comes NaNoWriMo! First character is nearly formed. Pensées is the working title. Olive Odette Pensées is my first character. The story is starting to form. I can’t wait! Who’s joining me?

Two weeks!

Making Monday

I wish I could say I finished something but, nope. Still I like seeing progress. A couple things are getting close.

Tomorrow I’ll finish Starry Night. So few uncovered symbols (lower left, blues).

The next two hats are nearing the decreasing section.

The scrappy slipper socks are at the cuff stage.

I’m feeling more confident with my HiyaHiya Fliers. Half the cuff of sock number one is done. These are so thin, like wires. This is meant to be a small sock. I only have this one skein so this may be just a first try. I think I shared the YouTube a few days ago. The hard part of watching is the presenter is using continental knitting. It’s been a while since I tried that so I’m having to learn using my right hand against learning as she uses her left hand.

I hate/love following my passion. There are only so many hours a day and somethings get lost in the shuffle. Like recorders and pianos and singing. Like writing and editing. Like other artwork. I miss those pursuits. Like old friends and family. Yet the knitting is calling. I barely put half an hour on the diamond painting. I’m putting in about the same on the treadmill. It’s something! More than I’d get done otherwise.

Hope you had a wonderful three-day weekend and celebrated a thoughtful, safe Labor Day, for those here in the states. And for those elsewhere, I hope you had a great few days.

It is Fall here. 94-100 degrees during the day but leaves are littering the porch and driveway proving a huge drop at night. We have hit high 30s (F)! Can you believe it? Really, this time I’m ready to let go of what used to be my favorite season. With no chance to swim and overwhelming flies and moths, bring on the chill!

So what are my latest WIPs? Many will look familiar but believe it or not, much progress has happened.

This is new. I’m trying HiyaHiya Fliers to make a small sock. These are the sharpest thinnest needles I’ve ever worked with. I really want to learn this. I have to try in small bits. This is soft thin yarn so not the best for socks but easy on my hands as I learn.
This may look like no progress but I had to frog my last try so I’m actually 4 rows beyond where I was before. I’ll probably finish the cuff tonight by bringing up the loops attached to the markers to to pegs.
So these scrappy yarn slipper socks are my least favorite project. The acrylic yarn too thick to work on these fine-gauge looms. But I think they’ll be warm for someone.
These two look familiar, too. I’ve made no progress to the hat on the Flexee fine-gauge, on the left. I’m wanting to do the crown decreases at the same time. I had to frog the needle-knit hat on the right. As of today,  I’m two inches from the crown decreases. Maybe tomorrow?
Almost to the halfway point on my diamond painting, Starry Night. Sitting in the new office chair is far easier on my back and arms than the piano bench. I picked up some cheap sets on Wish that we’ll be getting from the post office tomorrow afternoon. I’ll let you know how good or bad it is.
I finished diamonding both sides of the mobile. Tomorrow I’ll seal them and figure out how the chains and jewels work for hanging. I hope they catch the sun rays through our north-facing living room windows.

I’m feeling much better having crackled my back by moving pillows. It quit hurting. The bladder infection seems gone. No more pain. No temp. Here’s what I took besides drinking tons of water.

What are your WIPs? Oh, and
