The sweet people of the world don’t get enough credit. That person who helps you out with an order gone wrong, Amazon, last night. They walked me through and within minutes we were whole.

Sweet medical staff that explain and even hold your hand in the scary times.

That sweet pup or kitten that snuggles when you’re feeling low.

These are the sweets allowed. I hope to be sweet for others when I can. It’s a great people goal. We all need times to say:

Treasure of Kindness

I was very surprised when this treasure was given to me recently. It is so cute and functional for the holidays. And I know a lot of work went into it. I am now on a path to learn to make these, too. Thank you, Millie!

I can see potpourri, or nuts, or candies, even a tea light (battery not wax). I will take good care of this for Christmas futures.

The Hat Lady and her Animals (Picture Books for Kids)The Hat Lady and her Animals by Gita V. Reddy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a fun little story with plenty of lessons. A story in kindness. A story of using your talents to help others. A story about yarn skills.

By the way, Darlene only knits in this case. The yarn comes from, and finished products go to Hugger Hats. Those amazing ladies in the group are the ones that collect yarn and distribute the finished toys and hats to the needy. But I understand keeping it simple for the story’s sake.

I have to admit to being more than uncomfortable seeing my name in the story. But once I got used to it, I loved what the author was trying to convey.

Though the toys in the story were not the ones I made, I would love to put patterns in the book for those who wanted to learn. Many children love knitting. I was twelve when I learned to crochet and knit.

The little stuffed animals were adorable. Easy the pup was my favorite. But the cat couple was so sweet. I can’t wait for the Hugger Hats to see this story more about the group than about any one person.

My friend shared a Maypole in May Day. I shared with her how my mom said they danced around the Maypole. Then they would share baskets of flowers on neighbors’ porches. After sharing this my friend shared the above article.

May Day Pole shared by Marie Rodriguez. Thank you.

Wouldn’t it be great to celebrate life by sharing kindness?

A to Z Challenge, K

Kali is one of my favorite ‘K‘ words. This poor ole girl is slowing down like me. Arthritis makes her a bit of a ‘Hop-a-long Cassidy’. That’s only when she walks or trots. When she gets happy she can gallop like the wind. She barely touches the ground. I wish I could jog like my daughter because I think Kali would love that so much. I hope the wind dies soon so we can get outside for real walks again.

Knitting, loom or needle is another favorite. Here are a couple of Works In Progress. A pair of charity socks, a charity hat, and a charity toy.

Keto is a new word for me but I am trying to learn how to make it work for me especially with my Intermittent Fasting. Knowledge is power and I am knuckling down to growing healthier. The key seems to be getting your body to use fats instead of sugars for energy.

It seems my favs are four lettered. One to embrace for all, though, is Kindness.
