Why is Haven a human? What did she have in mind? When did she think she was going to achieve her goal? Who can help her? How will she make that goal come true? Would she be able to save the women, Beth, Anna, and Judy? Were they actually dead? She’d not dealt with actual dead as she at least could retain their souls. But why? Other planets let the souls recycle or whatever they did. Was it religion that painted that or just how it was. Did that chipmunk think about what happened to its cute personality after it died? Was that the end?

_________

As Ora/Haven attempted to sleep her first night on Xeno as a human these are the questions running through her head. Hey, a planet is no different than the rest of us in an unusual situation and given the letter W in an A-to-Z Challenge just before sleep!

I have to admit that I am longing to be done with CampNaNo. Latest count:  42713. Math is the thing you do in days of NaNo (or anything else but writing) that means I need only 629 words to reach today’s goal of 43,342. At which point I will need 6,658 to reach the month goal. The light at the end of the tunnel–hopefully that isn’t a train!

Well…

Wow, this day nearly got away from me. I did get to walk through the golf course near the lake. The sunshine on the water, the warble of waterfowl. It wasn’t a long walk. Less than half a mile. My back is still hurting tons. I just didn’t want to stay inside on such a pretty day.

The wind whipped up a bit of rain but never got bad enough to send us inside.

Well, I’ve played the ‘W’ game for the A to Z challenge. I need to get ready to read. Nearly finished with Testimony by Anita Shreve.

Yesterday’s picture should work here now as it was the same place.

#A to Z Challenge–W

Wow!

In spite of everything, I made it this far! That said, I feel I am not going to give this one the blogginess that it should have. I thought about it all day how I would talk about Wednesday (W), as it was pretty special. But try as I might I can’t seem to find the energy for more than a nod toward today.

Yesterday I packed up and went to our Hugger Hats meeting. It was fun. But having just done the packing and unpacking twice (for vacation and then for home) just packing the small bit for the group was more than my body could take. And I came away with a bag full of fiberfill and lots of small balls of yarn as they want me to make dolls. They like my dolls. I like making them. But bringing it all home just exhausted me and that’s how I’ve been all day! One fun day, one crash day.

Today I vegged and worked with my new Bernat Blanket yarn. I’ve made and unmade the same item 6 times. I’m on my 7th. As it is, I don’t know if I will leave this made or frog it again and make something else. It is soft and wonderful to work with and I feel I am floating as I work with it. I don’t have enough to make an afghan but I just needed the sensation of soft today. Maybe I’ll just make panels to sew together later.

Do you see how I just meandered around on this? Does anyone else have problems like this? The tired has lasted so long and I have no focus to — anything! Wow!

I started with a Wow that was high and enthusiastic. I’m ending with the wow of near apathy. So I’ll hang on to what is left of the first one so that when I have rested for the night I can enjoy the high again. Wow!
