Remember this from yesterday?
Well, there was more to that story. My husband tried to capture the picture from the door of the creature in the driveway.
This morning the creature was right across the street.
I tried not to think about it. But then as it started snowing again, and I started to take a picture of our front porch, I saw yellow.
Look who came to visit!
That same creature. What is it? You may ask. I did. I went to the door and this is who I found:
I don’t trust that innocent smile, do you? We sent him back home. Told him next time bring cookies!
Meanwhile, the snow continues icing the view.
And I continue to knit.
Believe it or not, the socks and hat are of the same yarn. Lessons in shadows and light, I suppose. Patterns for both hat and socks came with the small gauge baby KB looms.
LOL!
I love the ducky. Cute socks
Me, too, The ducky is cute. And thanks! I think I am getting the pattern right now.
I have my late mom’s knitting book, from the days we were kids. It’s a great book. All sorts of patterns.
Whew! I accidentally deleted your comment. Thank goodness it was still in my email! What a treasure to have your mother’s knitting books. I mostly knit with the looms because it doesn’t hurt as much as needle knitting. Still, I always have a needle project to work a round or two between other loom projects. Those older books are so interesting. One of the ladies on YouTube has been going through older books and has pointed out how we do things differently now than even in the sixties. Still, knitting is so much about a fine fabric. When I only crocheted, I was envious of knitted sweaters that my aunts used to make. Give it a try. It is so exciting to see a garment or toy develop from a yank o yarn and the strange language of k1, purl9, etc.
It is. I have also the problem with hand joints not being fully flexible due to arthritis so not knitting nowadays. It is an amazing book. Really teaches you from the scratch.
You can use regular knitting patterns on a loom. There are conversion tables out there. Even if you can’t do the knitting, these are so precious.
That sounds good. Thanks
