Since we don’t have newspapers or plastic bags, what do we line our smaller trash cans with?
Just asking for a friend,
who still loves the environment and the ocean.
Look. I get it. I’ve been carrying around reusable bags attached to my purse for more than a decade. But by outlawing these plastic bags, my reusing of the bags as trash can liners or plarn items will be over as soon as the “bag bag” chair is empty. That chair was to be a laundry bag made of plarn. But when we moved I stuffed it with our extra plastic bags. Once here the cats and then the dog found that bag the best seat in the house. So let’s see what ideas others have about this soon to be small dilemma. Ideas?
One-liner Wednesday is the easy prompt given to us by Linda G. Hill.
They make small trash an bags. So I’ve been told 😊
I’m trying to think of things that don’t cost us more money. I guess I should have been more specific. I’d like a way to recycle something like I do with the bags until they are used up. I mention newspapers because we used to do that when I was young. I mean, if it comes to it I prefer to purchase the bags that clean the trash can continually. And thanks for this suggestion. Just looking to reuse, somehow.
I do believe that plastic bags can be made into park and garden furniture. https://www.treehugger.com/eco-friendly-furniture/company-turns-recycled-plastic-bags-designer-furniture-traditional-egyptian-weaving-process.html
And there is more than one firm💜
I love that companies are stepping up to recycle.
It’s excellent isn’t it 💜

We still get plastic bags here in Florida. They are very thin and recyclable. I use mine in my kitchen bin. Not sure what I’d do if they suddenly stopped giving them out.
I guess we have a little time to adjust to the new normal. I just remembered that we use the old bags for kittle little removal, too. Ugh! We are in Oregon. I think our ocean has bigger plastic islands maybe the Atlantic is not as affected?
